Mystical Places on the Upper Rhine
Numerous monasteries, places of pilgrimage, hermitages and holy springs can be found in the trinational Upper Rhine.  Over the centuries people in search of inner peace have been drawn to these places - but have remained almost unknown, well kept secrets.  The culture journalist and ethnologin Edith Schweizer-Völker and the photographer Martin Schulte-Kellinghaushave spent several years documenting the sagas, myths and legends that entwine forty of these sites.  The destinations are illustrated with breathtaking photographs and accompanied by travel information and practical tips.
