Mysterious Black Forest

Thousands of years ago as our ancestors first climbed the Belchen and saw to the south the towering peaks of the Alps, they must have been captured by the wonder of this place.  The Black Forest has lost non of this magnetism.  Thousands of visitors are drawn to its mystical sites. This project presents a selection of the spiritual places to be found, mainly in the south of this holiday region.  Here the mountains rise steeply from the edges of the upper Rhine valley, forming a labyrinth of narrow valleys dotted with sun soaked vineyards.  These southern peaks offer superb views.  Those who venture further north will find another Black Forest, dominated by characteristic wide ranging woodland.
